Skilhunt E2A

Small, simple, and efficient. Nice flashlight from skilhunt and really like it. Of course my favorite brand is skilhunt and really like the gray color. The UI is simple just the way I like it. Using a good enough emitter. Happy with it al around. Great flashlight.

I have a couple of Skilhunts and like them all. I picked this one because of the nice 4000k color and simple UI. You can hand this light to anyone and they will be able to operate it. This unit is all you need for a simple,bright, easy to use edc light. One would be hard pressed to find a better option at this price point. I've made several purchases from Killzone and am always impressed with their service!

Nice light! Killzone sent it as quick as possible but when received it the battery was dead.

Ui interface was easy to understand. Color is nice. Batteries last well in it. It is inexpensive for the quality. Killzoneflashlights.com shipped fast. No complaints from me.

Maybe my favorite AA/14500 light currently. I'm a big fan of the Luminus SST-20 emitter, and the TIR lens on this makes the beam buttery smooth, which I prefer for near, around-the-house usage. I'm using a Vapcell F12 battery, but also works great with the included BL-108. (If you're new to Li-ion batteries, this included battery does not have a USB charging port, so you will need a Li-ion charger.) Also works fine with a regular rechargeable AA as well, and with the weaker battery the low setting is closer to a true moonlight mode.

The grey option I chose is absolutely beautiful to me. The bezel is slightly toothed, just enough to be able to tell if I've accidentally left the light on when headstanding it. Most other AA lights I've seen in this price range don't have this design feature. The included lanyard is even solid quality: branded, cushioned, and adjustable. The E2A can technically tailstand, but it's a bit wobbly so I wouldn't recommend.

Note: Brightness mode cycling allows for a very long time in between button presses. I normally don't expect the mode to advance if I wait more than a second between presses, but this requires power off for at least 5 seconds to enter memory mode (which feels like forever while playing with the light, but is fine for real-world use).

The E2A is exactly what I was looking for. A excellent light in its price range. I had a couple of questions regarding batteries and a Charger and customer service was very prompt in answering. Thanks again for the wonderful service!

I was sent this light from killzone flashlights to review. I was curious about the Skilhunt brand for a few years seeing their headlamps with optics and color tint options had me curious. I wasnt sure what to expect with the E2A. I've been using for a few days as an edc light and I find I am liking more and more. First off the look is nicely machined atleast on the model that was sent to me. I have the 4000k sst20 high cri model in gray. The gray colour is nice and i think i like it better than if i had the black. The light has a basic ui with 3 simple modes of output. The driver is efficient and ive tested the low mode with an old zebralight 14500 flat top protected battery for about 7 hours and 43 minutes on the lowest mode. The light did not run out of power nor change the brightest within the time period and since for my preferences and uses that is more than sufficient time for what i need out of an edc light. I really enjoy the fact that it integrates in my solar AA rechargeable batteyr system which i use for hiking , camping, working as a trail steward and edc activities. It uses either 14500, nimh AA or an alkaline AA which in my opinion makes this a fantastic light. Interchangable battery systems are the way to go with flashlights and electronics in general. This light has a good tint and my prefered tint 4000k is or less. The high cri is icing on the cake as I draw and sometimes I need to see accurate colour for my traditional artwork and also for my videos that I film on gear. Yes I do use lights these to light up certain shots for a short duration. The cons would be minor, though the rubber boot tail clicky is great and good, id prefer a harden cover around the side and/or a metal cover over the tail cap as a matter of preference. The light is simply one of the best high cri 4000k muti battery powered edc options out there. I like it better than my lumintop tool 2.0. The tool has more modes but with a light this small I dont really care about strobe as much personally. One thing to note the honeycomb type tir produces a slight bit of texture on the beam pattern. I found this negligible in my personal taste but I know some may see it as artifacts in the beam. When using this light i noticed it does nto really matter in edc daily activities. Fit and finish is great. Tone, color temp, and output are very well balanced. Comparing to a Lumintop Tool 2.0 with a Nichia 219c, the pocket clip is better on this light and the tone of the SST20 is better. Output is very similar. I prefer the beam pattern of the Lumintop and the Switch on the Skilhunt is a too stiff for this small a light. Definitely wouldn’t accidentally actuate it. It also needs moonlight mode to be excellent.

Thrunite had it right with the Archer 1A besides their emitter choice. Combine the best attributes between that light and this one and there would be a clear winner.
