What battery do we recommend using with the Acebeam E70-SS Stainless Steel LED Flashlight? 

While you may be able to use non-Acebeam branded batteries with the Acebeam E70 SS we recommend going with Acebeam batteries to ensure optimal operation, fit, and functionality. The recommended Acebeam USB-C rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery (5100mAh) can be found here. This battery is not included by default and you must select the option to include it or purchase it separately.

Cool shelf queen?

At the time of this review, I have purchased the Acebeam E-70, in stainless steel, copper, and titanium (3 of the 4 materials offered at this time). All three which I own, are fantastic in their appearance, construction and function. Although not an overly large model, the E-70 is, in my opinion, a little portly for an EDC role. An occasional carry piece, but mostly suited as a 'shelf queen', would be my personal application of the E-70. Don't get me wrong, this is a great overall design, unique in its appearance. I'll focus on the stainless version for this review. The contrast between the polished stainless steel, and the blue, internal tube, as seen through the milled slots in the main body, is very visually appealing. The stainless and titanium models, feature a nicely sculpted pocket clip, however both are extremely stiff, with very little flex. Any cloth material passing underneath the tip of the pocket clip, will need to be thin. The clip widens out underneath considerably once you're past the tip, but some blue jean material may present a challenge. I consider the E-70, in stainless, copper and titanium, mostly 'eye candy', loaded with detailing.......and that's just fine with me.

Flashy, but Functional

This is a real striking flashlight in appearance. Besides that, I like the features and find it to be a very bright light that is easy to use. The operating system is very easy to work through, in spite of requiring an initial double click to turn it on. You can cycle through 4 levels of light, with the side switch and you also have moonlight, turbo, and a strobe. The tail switch turns on with a double click to a memory light setting and then goes to turbo if you double click again. This light is not a thrower for long distances, since it has a very broad spot and a lot of spill. It does put out a lot of light out to 100 yards or more. I like the moonlight mode for looking at close objects and walking around the house at night. I have been using this light while walking at night on some open space trails and it does the job well. I have an Acebean T36, which puts out a longer, tighter spot than this one, and I lost the bezel to it. Acebeam has sent me a new bezel, (thanks customer service) so I will use the T36 for some things. I have 3 lights that use the 21700 and while I haven't measured run times, I know that these batteries run a long time. I have a lot of lights and this E70 stainless is going to be one of my favorites.
