The Acebeam H40 is a simple, compact, lightweight headlamp with tremendous power and reliability. Equipped with one CREE XP-L HD LED, this high-performance headlamp provides you with a complete, evenly-lit view at night. It features an SOS mode for emergency situations along with infinite dimming outputs ranging from 230 lumens to 5 lumens with a Li-ion battery, ranging from 230 lumens to 5 lumens by Ni-MH or a AA Alkaline battery. The high CRI Luminus SST-20 LED provides a warm and soft beam that resembles the nature of sunlight, reducing eye strain and also making it ideal for photography. The headlamp's body is constructed from aerospace grade and hard-anodized aluminum, letting it withstand drops from as high as 2 meters and also allowing it to be waterproof to IP68 standards. The Acebeam H40 is lightweight, remarkably rugged, and incredibly user-friendly, H40 headlamp is one perfect light for any outdoor activities!

Quality light for a great price!

I'm very pleased with my Acebeam H40. The light is very bright and it's loaded with features for a basic flashlight. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

Most Practical Headlamp For When Real Color Acquisition Is Required!!

This is a very high-end headlamp when it comes to build quality and is economically priced. I highly recommend this Headlamp.

High CRI

Pros: I like the high CRI light.
It is truly waterproof.
With no way to adjust the beam from spot to flood, they have picked a pretty good compromise.

Cons: There seems to be a problem fitting the 14500 batteries. Killzone said a battery with a button would be too long. The light I got wouldn't work with the flat top battery they sent me. I soldered a button on the battery, and it now works fine. If the tube were a couple of mm longer, the spring would make batteries of slightly different lengths work.
The holder for the light is so tight that it is extremely difficult to tip the light up and down. I pulled the light out, stretched the rubber holders, and lubricated them with silicone jelly. Now it is possible to adjust the angle without too much trouble, but it is still tighter than it needs to be, and will have to be relubed from time to time.
There is no way to check the charge of the battery.

In summary, the problems I had with the Acebeam H40 can be overcome. I like the light, and use it often.
