How easy is it to take your light system on and off?

Most of our kits come with a universal rapid mount that will allow you to easily go from scope to scope in a minute or less with no tools required. Check the details of each product listing to very the contents of the kit. Our other mounting options will require you to install/remove a few allen heads screws to remove or install the mount.

Can the lights be mounted on a 30mm scope?

Yes, when using the universal mount it can be mounted to either 1 inch or a 30mm scope.

Will the battery be affected if stored inside the light?

Yes, We do not recommend storing the battery in the light for extended periods of time.

Do you have a store front so I can come by and purchase directly from you?

No, We do not have a store front for customers to come by and purchase products. However, if you contact us we can arrange a meeting so you can purchase a light directly.

I can't decide on which color to go with. Is green or red better?

We don't think that one is necessarily better than the other. We believe when both are used together they make a great combination. We generally recommend to use red for scanning and green for shooting. However, there are instances where one will fit your needs better. If you will only be shooting short distances we recommend red. If longer range is needed then green is often better. However, if you have both red and green then you can scan for eyes with a red light and then use a green light for taking the shot. If you purchase a particular color and are not happy with it we will work with you to swap it out. Just contact us at sales@killzoneflashlights.com.

Are the Killzone Flashlights hog lights and predator lights water-proof?

Our lights have an IP66 rating which means completely dust and rain proof. Immersion in water for a long time will damage your light.

How many hours will my hog light work before it shuts off?

The green typically lasts roughly 3-4 hrs on a full charge and the red will last roughly 2-3 hrs with our Samsung 3500mAh batteries. However, depending on how you use the flashlights they may last all night. If you only turn the lights on for a few minutes at a time to scan and then turn it off the batteries could last you all night.

What light and color should I buy?

This all depends on how you are hunting and what you are hunting with. If you are bow hunting then we recommend the Punisher with a bow pressure switch. If you are rifle hunting then any of our lights will work great, it just depends on how far you want to shoot and if you mind having a little extra weight added to your setup.

What is the life expectancy of the 18650 battery?

18650 batteries have up to a 10 year life span and can be charged hundreds of times if properly taken care of. Do not leave the batteries fully charged for long periods of time. Instead store the batteries with half of a charge. Keep the batteries at room temperature when storing. Avoid full chargers and complete discharges. Do not leave on the charger after the battery has completed charging.

Will cold temperatures have any effect the light output of your lights?

Yes, it is possible depending on how cold your environment is. Most lithium-ion batteries do take a performance hit in really cold weather. We do sell lithium-ion batteries made specifically for colder climates should that be a concern to you.

How do I get the best life out of 18650 batteries?

The batteries can be charged at any time as they don't have a memory but you will get the best life out of them if you don't fully charge them and don't drain them completely. When you notice the light is starting to dim it is time to charge the batteries. However, If you don't have any plans to use the light for some time only charge half way. It is best to not store the 18650 batteries over a long period of time with a full charge. Never leave the batteries in the charger with the charger unplugged as this will drain the batteries. Also, do not leave the batteries on the charger after the charger lights have turned green.

What color light is the best for hunting at night?

We recommend using red lights for predators and/or scanning and green lights for hogs or mounted on your gun. Hogs and predators are least likely to be spooked by a red light but red is harder for the human eye to see. Green light is much easier for the human eye to see which is why most people like green. We have been successful using our red lights to scan for predators and then using green for taking the shot.
